Usingthe
(CAMERASET)menu
- PROGRAM AE/16:9WIDE, etc.
You can select items listed below on _lle
CAMERA SET menu. To select items, see
"Selecting menu items" (.p. 59).
The default settings are marked with D. The
indicalors in parentheses appear when the
setting is selected. The settings you can adiust
vary depending on _l_e power mode of your
camcorder. The screen shows 1he items you can
currently operate. Unavailable items will be
grayed out.
You can record pictures easily in a situation thal requires various lechniques by
selecting the following settings.
I:> AUTO Select tilts when not using PROGRAM AE.
SPOTLIGHT* Soled to prevent people's laces from appearing
(spotlight) ( _t_ ) excessively white when suNects are lit by strong
light, such as in a theater or at a wedding.
PORTRAIT (soft Seled to bring out the suNect such as people or
portrait) ( _i_ ) flowers while creating a soil background.
SPORTS* (sports SeleO to minimize shake when shooting gist-
lesson) ( d_ ) moving subjects such as in tennis or golf.
BEACH&SKI* Soled to prevent people's laces from appearing
(beach & ski) ( "_ ) durk in strong light or refleeled light, such as al a
beach in midsummer or on a ski slope.
SUNSET&MOON Sele¢l to maintain the atmosphere of situations
** (sunset & moon) such as sunsets, general night views, fireworks,
( _: ) and neon signs.
LANDSCAPE**
SeleO when shooting distant subjects such as
(landscape) ( li_l ) mountains. This setting also prevents your
eamcorder from focusing on glass or melal mesh
in windows that comes in between the cameorder
and the subjech
