Cleaning the video
head
To ensure normal recording and clear pictures, clean the video heads. The video head
may be &rtywhen'
°The_ indicator and "I_ CLEANING CASSETTE" message appear one after anothel"
orthe _ indicator flashes on the LCDscreen or m the vlewfinder
• Playback pictures contain noise
• Playback pictures are hardly visible
• Playback pictures do notappear
If this happens,clean the video heads with the Sony V8-25C LD cleaning cassette (not
supphed)

Note on video heads
When the playback pictures are stdl contain noise even ff you have cleaned the wd eo
heads wLth a cleaning cassette, the video heads may have worn down due to long use If
this is the case, they must be replaced with new heads. Contact you r Sony dealer or
localauthorhzed Sony service facihb,
Cleaning the LCD screen
If fingerprints or dust make the LCD screen dirty, we recommend using a LCD
Cleaning Kit (not supplied) to clean the LCD screen
Removing dust from inside the viewfinder
(1) 0
Remove the screw with a screwdriver (not supplied). O Then, while
holding the RELEASE knob up, O turn the eyecup in a counterclockwise
dlrechon and pull it out.
(2) Clean the surface with a commercially available blower for a still camera.
(3) Turn the eyecup m a clockwise direchon, then replace the screw.
