OPERATION
HOW TO FINELY ADJUST THE PLATTER
SPEED
Finely adjust the platter speed as follows:
1. Set the record size selector to the MANUAL
position.
2. Set the speed selector switch to 33.
3. Push the START button and observe the appro-
priate strip of strobe calibration dots on the
platter edge (Fig. 12).
4. If the strobe dots appear to flow to the right
(which means that the platter is rotating more
slowly than the rated speed), turn the 33-1/3rpm
fine adjustment knob in the + direction and set
so that the strobe
dots no longer appear to
move.
If the strobe dots appear to flow to the left
(which means that the platter is rotating more
quickly than the rated speed), turn the 33-1/3
rpm fine adjustment knob in the — direction and
set so that the strobe dots no longer appear to
move.
5. Set the speed selector switch to 45, and proceed
to adjust in exactly the same
way with the
45rpm
fine adjustment knob, while observing
the appropriate strip of strobe calibration dots
on the platter edge (Fig. 12).
