The moisture has condensed inside the recorder.
Keep the power on and wait until the indicator goes off to indicate
that the moisture has evaporated.
@ Do not try to insert a cassette while the AUTO OFF indicator is lit.
Otherwise the protection circuit may be activated and the recorder
will not operate even if the indicator goes off. In such a case, turn
the power off, then turn it on again.
lf the AUTO OFF indicator lights and the
function buttons do not function

If the tape suddenly stops and the function
buttons do not function

Eject the cassette, and take up the leader tape manually (see page
5). Reinsert the cassette and operate the recorder again.
If the recorder does not function, turn the recorder off and contact
your nearest Sony service facility.
