Poor AC plug connection.
Check plug contact
SPEAKERS switch set to A + B position
a)
No sound from LEFT and R GHT.
Sound only from one side.
Set to appropriate volume level.
Difference in received signal and phono output levels.
Difference in volume level of radio and phono.
See that turntable output cord is firmly plugged into amp. input.
Turntable output cord disconnected.
See that turntable output cord is firmly plugged into amp. input.
Poor turntable output cord prong connections.
Loud hum drowns out sound.
Sound audible but background hum occurs.
a) Turntable output cord picking up hum from AC cord.
b) Turntable not grounded.
Sound audible but continuous background buzz interferes.
Route turntable cord so that hum is minimized.
Speaker vibrations induce feedback in Pickup.

n initially installing this amplifier improper connections to a tuner or turntable
may result in one of the following indications of trouble. Their possible causes and
corrective measures are listed below to facilitate installation.
Howling noise occurs when volume is raised or bass response
is increased.
No pilot lamp indication, no sound although AC is
switched ON.

TV signal picked up by Turntable output cord.
Frequency occurs near TV transmitting antenna.
Speaker cords disconnected.
SPEAKERS switch set to OFF position.
Volume Control (extreme left).
TAPE (MON) switch at A or B position.
a) Keep turntable output cord away from AC cords.
Choose cord paths which keep hum at a minimum.
Reverse turntable AC plug connections.
b) Connect ground wire to GND terminal.
ncrease distance between turntable and speakers.
Choose speaker locations carefully.
Remember, loose flooring induces howling.

a) A-B groups of speakers are required in this case for
response from both sides.
b) Check connections from amp. output to speakers.
c) SPEAKERS switch should be switched to OFF only when
using stereo headphones.

e) Always set to SOURCE except when using tape.decks.
