Troubleshooting
Symptom Cause and/or Corrective Actions
A vortical band appears when voii
shtx>t a subject such as lights or a
candle flame against a dark
background.
• The contrast between the subject and background is to
high. Your camcorder is not a malfunction.
A vertical band appears when you
shoot a \'ery bright subject.
• Your camcorder is not a malfunction.
Some tiny white spots appear in the
viewfinder or on the LCD screen.
• Slow shutter, low lux or NightShot +Slow shutter moc
activated. This is not a malfunction.
An unknown picture is displayed in • If 10 minutes elapse after you set the POWER switch t(
the viewfinder or on the LCD screen. CAMERA or DEMO MODE is set to ON in the MENU
settings without a cassette inserted, your camcorder
automatically starts the demonstration.
4 Insert a cassette and the demonstration stops.

The picture is recorded in incorrect
or uimatural colors.
• NIGHTSHOT is set to ON.
