WARNING! Working on an energized circuit can result in severe injury or death from
electrical shock.
1. Check for a visible fl ame through the sight glass while water is not running
through the water heater. If the error s ll occurs, immediately shut-off the water
heater and contact a qualifi ed service technician.
2. Check the fl ame sensor wire for a short or disconnec on. Correct any loose con-
nec on and replace any damaged wire/connector. If the error s ll occurs, contact
a qualifi ed service technician.

2. Check the fl ame sensor wire and igniter wire for a short or disconnec on. Cor-
rect any loose connec ons and replace any damaged wire/connector. If the error
s ll occurs, contact a qualifi ed service technician.
1. Verify the thermistor reading with the water outlet temperature.
2. Remove the thermistor (do not lose the o-ring) and check for any dirt or debris.
Clean with an Emery cloth. If the thermistor is damaged, replace it. If the error
s ll occurs, contact a qualifi ed service technician.
1. The clock ba ery voltage is low indica ng it should be replaced with a 2032 type
ba ery. This error may also appear when supply power has been turned back on.
In this case, ignore the error code. Reference "Printed Circuit Board Ba ery" on
page 40.
1. Remove the thermistor (do not lose the o-ring) and check for any dirt or debris.
Clean with an Emery cloth. If the thermistor is damaged, replace it.
