Never check the fuel system while smoking or in the vicinity of an open flame.
1. Fuel
Check if there is
fuel in the tank
2. Compression
Use electric starter.
3. Ignition
Remove spark
plug and check
electrode.
4. Battery
Use electric
starter
Enough fuel Go to compression check.
No fuel Supply fuel.
There is compression. Go to ignition check.
No compression. Ask a Yamaha dealer to inspect.
Wipe clean with dry cloth and correct
Wet
spark gap or replace spark plugs.
Dry
Ask a Yamaha dealer to inspect.
Engine turns over
Battery good.
quickly.
Engine turns over Check connections
slowly. or recharge.
