Starting the Engine
If the engine does not start:
Leave the engine stop switch set to
a
position.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Shift the transmission to Neutral (
c
indicator to come on).
Push the choke lever down all the way to
d
fully off.
Open the throttle fully.
e
Press the start button for 5 seconds.
f
If the engine starts, quickly close the throttle,
g
then, if idling is unstable, open it slightly.
If the engine does not start, wait 10 seconds,
then follow steps a - c under "High Air
Temperature".
