3.5 Gas Fuel System

3.5.1
Gas Supply System from Gas
Boost Compressor (GBC)
Pressure Range
The micro turbine requires gas be supplied at a pressure
controlled
between
5.4--6.0
(78--87 psi). High and low pressure switches in the gas
safety train prevent the gas pressure from falling outside
the following limits:

Gas Safety Train
Refer to Section 5, Installation Drawings, for the
arrangement of the gas safety train. If a gas safety train
is not supplied, the installer shall select and install a
system in accordance with national and local standards
and regulations.
Power cabling to the GBC and control wiring between
the gas train and the micro turbine is supplied by the
installer. See Figure 3-9 for the connection details for
the gas safety train.

Gas Supply System from High
Pressure Gas Supply
As an alternative, the micro turbine can be supplied via a
high pressure gas main provided it is able to provide gas

The maximum inlet pressure to the GBC must not
exceed 700 mbarg, 70000 kPa (101526 psi).

The gas supply system from a GBC for the micro turbine
is shown in Figure 3-7.

6. Inlet flexible connection, 2 in. BSPG to BS6501, part 1

8. Outlet flexible connection, 3/4 in. BSPG to BS6501, part 1
at a controlled pressure between 5.4--6.0 bar 540--
600 kPa (783--870 psi). If the system is supplied from a
high pressure gas supply, install a regulator before the
gas train as specified in Figure 3-8.
Size and install gas vents so that they discharge to a
safe location in accordance with national and local
standards and regulations.
