Select the Spot AF mode to focus on a particular
spot in the frame.
1 Switching to Spot AF mode
Depress the AF^/Infinity-Landscape mode but¬
ton so that the (SPOT AF) appears on the LCD
panel indicating that you are in the Spot AF
mode.
2 Focus on the subject
Focus on the subject with the Spot AF frame
[ ( ) ] in the center of the viewfinder.
• When the main subject is off the autofocus
frame in the center of the viewfinder, use the
focus-lock technique. See page 35.
