IP address allocation and usage

As you plan your installation, you must consider IP address requirements and service access for the
system.
The utility node uses 100 GbE / 200 GbE / 100 Gb EDR / 200 Gb HDR network for cluster communication
and data transport. For IP port usage requirement, see IBM Storage Scale Documentation.
For configuration and management, you must allocate an IP address to the system. This IP address is
referred to as the management IP address. The storage system also has a BMC IP address, which is
known as the service IP address. The addresses must be fixed. Only IPv4 addresses are supported for
management and service.
