OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SELF - TEST PROCEDURE
The printer has a self-test feature which allows the
user to determine its operational readiness . To initiate
a self-test operation , ensure that the ribbon and paper
are loaded in the printer . Then proceed as follows :
1. Turn the printer on and verify that the power
switch/indicator is illuminated .
2. Place the TEST switch to the ON position.
3 . Press the ON LINE switch and verify that the ON
LINE indicator illuminates .After a momentary delay,
during which time the printer cycles through
internal checks, the printer begins printing the test
pattern shown in Appendix B.

4. Place the printer in the off line mode by pressing
the ON LINE switch to terminate the self-test
operation . Verify that the ON LINE indicator goes
off.
5. Disable the self-test mode by placing the TEST
switch in the OFF position .
