¢ Overuse of the zoom may make recordings seem
too busy. It is generally better to use it sparingly,
or in order to reframe between shots.
* When you want to get as close as possible to
your subject, keep the zoom at the wide-angle
position. You can focus on a subject as close as
1 cm (3/8 in).
* Keep the image stabilizer turned off when the
camera is mounted on a tripod.
* The image stabilizer always remains on when you
are using the Easy Recording program (see p.
22).
* The image stabilizer is designed to deal with a
normal degree of camera shake — it cannot
compensate for large movements of the camera.
