RECORDING (Deck 1)
Your attention is drawn to the fact that recording
pre-recorded tapes or discs on other published or
broadcast material may infringe copyright laws.
mM Edit pause recording
(For preventing a track from being recorded over two sides
of a tape)
"Edit pause" is a function when recording from a CD onto
HSITONA
both sides of a tape. !t prevents a track from being in-
terrupted by the end of the tape. This unit comes with a
function which displays the total playing time of the tracks on
the CD being played. So the tracks can be selected to fit the
length of the tape used. For example onto the C-46 type
tape the tracks can be recorded so as not exceed 23 min-
utes for each side.
"Edit pause" cannot be used together with CD repeat play.
"Edit pause" function does not operate during the tape play-
back mode.
Before operation:
Check that the tape's accidental record prevention tabs are
intact.
Forward the tape past the leader tape.

Press the operation switch to turn on the unit.
Press the CD button of the function select buttons.
Press the CD eject button to insert the CD, then close the
cover.

side A, then

memory/recall button.
The program indicator will appear and total playing time
will display.

6. Repeat the step 5 for as long as the recording time on
one side of the tape is not exceeded.
Try reserving one more track to see whether it will fit in. If
it exceeds the recording time on one side of the tape,
press the stop/clear button to cancel the track reserved
last.
7. Press the edit pause button, and then press the memory/
recall button.
The pause indicator will appear.

8. Press one of the skip/search buttons to specify the de-
sired track to record on side B, then press the memory/
recall button.
The total time for the tracks to be recorded on side B of
the tape is displayed next.
9. Press the record button of the deck 1.
The disc play will begin in selected sequence, and also
recording will begin. The CD player is automatically set to
the pause mode when the tracks reserved on tape side A
have been played through. The tape continues in the
recording mode (although no sound is recorded) until its
end. After that, press the eject button to turn over the
tape, and then press the record button. A non-recorded
passage of about 13 seconds will be automatically cre-
ated, and then the tracks reserved on tape side B will
start playing to be recorded.
©To stop the recording
Press the stop/eject button of deck 1 and stop/clear button
of the CD section.
Synchro start function
This unit is provided with a synchro-start function which
starts disc play when the record button is pressed.
