Steering lock release

Without Smart Key system (if equipped)
Turn
When starting the engine, the engine
switch may seem stuck in OFF. To
free it, turn the key while turning the
steering wheel slightly left and right.
Tilt & telescopic steering wheel
Lock release lever
Hold the steering wheel, push the lever down, set angle and length, and return the
lever.
NOTE: Do not attempt to adjust while the vehicle is in motion.
With Smart Key system
Turn
When the steering lock cannot be
released, "Push Power Button while
Turning Steering Wheel in Either
Direction" will be displayed on the Multi-
Information Display (MID).
Press the power button shortly and
firmly while turning the steering wheel
left and right.
