Press and hold [-DISP/-DEMO] until "NO DEMO" is dis-
played.

ECO mode []
When this mode is used, the display remaias blank when the unit is
switched to standby mode and the power consumed is reduced to
0.25W from a maximum of 18W.
The mode is set to on at the time of purchase•

To get the most from this mode, tom the demo funclton off or set the
clock.

Press [V/I, POWER] to turn the unit on,
Press [MODE].
The currentECO modeis displayed. P ressagaintochangethe mode.
The displaychangeseachtime the buttonis pressed.
NORMAL (off)_->ECO (on)
The eco mode can be tumed on it the unit is in standby but it cannot
be turned off.
Conserving Power
The unit consumes 0.25 W even when it is turned off with [_,.f,POWER]
or Auto-off function and ECO mode is turned on. To save power when
the unit is not to be used for a long time, unplug it from the household
AG outlet. Remember to reset the radio stations and any other memory
items before using the unit again•

When CO or tape is selectedas the source

This function d_es not work if the source is tuner or AUX.
Press [AUTO OFF].
"AUTO OFF" is shown on the display.
To cancel
Press [AUTO OFF] again to clear "AUTO OFF" from the display.
For your reference
The setting is maintained even if the unit is turned off+When the unit
is turned on again, =AUTO OFF" is displayed and the unit functions as
described above.
