Band selector
Selects
FM
or AM
band. FM has three
positions and each
position can store 6
stations In memory.
The indicator switch-
es at the same time
as the band is chang-
ed.
*ABSS switch
(Automatic broadcasting
sensor system)
If this switch is kept on,
and the radio signal you
are
receiving
becomes
weak and reception dete-
riorates, seek operation !s
automatically
started
to
search
for
other
strong
Signal stations.
Digital display/stereo
indicator
Displays
the
selected
frequency
and _ lights
when
a_ stereophonic
FM program
is receiv-
ed.
Memory switch
Used to store the re-
ceived
station
in the
channel
key.
When
the switch
is turned
on, the switch illumi-
nates for 5 seconds.
During this 5 second
interval, press the re-
quired channel key to
store the received sta-
tion frequency in the
channel key.
Preset scan switch
The station frequencies stored
in memory
by channel
keys
(1 — 6) are monitored
in se-
quence
for 5 seconds.
Press
the preset scan
switch
once
again at the required station or
hold the channel key for con-
tinuous reception.
Channel keys (1 — 6)
These keys are used to store the
frequencies
of selected
radio
stations.
Any 3 stations
in FM
and 1 station in AM can be held
in memory.
Seek switch
By depressing the switch once,
the received frequency is varied
from lower to higher until a radio
signal
is received.
Then
seek
operation stops and the unit is
tuned
in to a station.
To stop
manually,
depress
the
switch
once again.
Up/down keys
When the up key is depressed,
the
received
frequency
varies
from lower to higher; when the
down
key is depressed
the re-
ceived
frequency
varies
from
higher to lower. A single depres-
sion of the key allows thé fre-
quency
to vary
one
step
ata
time. When the key is kept dep-
ressed
the frequency
changes
continuously.
