The hours meter is a 4-digit digital clock on the left side of the system panel. It
displays four kinds of information about tbe operational history of the unit. Use it
as a guide in scheduling periodic maintenance.
Periodic maintenance should be carried out by a qualified technician. For more
information, contact your Sony dealer.
The hours meter runs on the unit's internal batteries, which should be changed once
every five years. For more information, contact your Sony dealer.
Meaning of the displayed values
DISPLAY SELECT button
Hours meier
When you press the DISPLAY SELECT button, the display changes in the
following way.
ree 3T2> T39Cr 7
Ti: OPERATION (Total time)
Displays the total number of hours that the unit has been in operation, with the
power turned on.
Ta: DRUM RUNNING
Displays the total number of hours that the drum has run with tape threaded.
Ts: TAPE RUNNING
Displays the total number of hours that the unit has been in fast forward, rewind,
playback, search, recording and editing (except for stop and still) modes.
Cr: THREADING
Displays the total threadings and unthreadings.
