CD-Audio
discs
Note. This procedure can also be used for audio sections on 5
inch (12 cm) Laser Discs.
Loading
Load the disc using the disc loading tray: on the system front
panel,
the Reading Disc
indicator
flashes briefly and then
lights continuously, and on the
display,
the CD-Audio screen
appears.

Track/Time window:
Shows
total
number of tracks and total playing time after
loading. In all play and pause modes T!TW shows track
number and elapsed or remaining track playing
time.
To
change between elapsed and remaining time,
select
the
time in the
window.
In
all
stop modes shows the
last
track
number played and its playing time. If another track in the
play track bar is
selected,
shows track number and playing
time. If the
total
tracks icon in the play track bar is selected,
T(TW
shows
total
number of tracks and total playing time.

Play Track Bar:
Shows up to 10 track numbers and the total number or
tracks. You can point-and-click to select any track.
For discs with more than 10
tracks,
the forward > and
reverse < scroll arrows at the right and left of the track bar
are used to move through the track list.
The total number of tracks is shown in the box to the rig ht of
the bar, you can point-and-click it to display time in the Track
Time window.
3. PROGRAM star
Allows you to program a list of special tracks cal led a
Favorite Track
Selection.
When you select this star, the
cursor arrow changes to a
star,
the FTS track bar appears
above the Play track bar and the
SAVE
diamond beside the
PROGRAM
star.
4. SCAN
Allows you to listen to the beginning of every track listed in
the Play track bar.
5.
SHUFFLE
Al lows you to play the tracks
in
the Play track
bar
in a random
order.
6. REPEAT
Allows you to repeat the entire disc.
7. FTS
Al lows you to play Favorite Track Selections. This icon only
appears if a Favorite Track Selection has
been
c reated
for
the disc that is loaded in the player.

The operation of the
functions is briefly explained in the following table.
Note.
If AUTO START CD-AUDIO
ON,
AUTO
SHUFFLE
ON
or AUTO REPEAT ON have been selected on the SETTINGS
screen,
these functions are activated
automatically.
Note.
Disc play can be started and stopped using the
Start/Play
and Open/Close
~
button on the system front
panel
respectively.

When play starts,
adjust
the sound level as required
.

begins at the

track
in the track bar.
Plays the beginning of
each track on the disc.
Normal play starts from
this point.
