TURNING THE POWER ON

To turn the power on press the red

key. To turn the power off press the

key. Sharp calculator has the A.P .O. (Automatic Power OFF) . lf the calculator is
turned on in errar, or no calculation is performed, the calculator will turn itself off
alter about 1 O minutes, saving battery
power. To turn the E L-506P back on press
the

key.
EL-506P can designate the decimai places of an answer. To floating decimai system
in this chapter, depress the
~
, ~::, and
GJ

Places")
CLEARING

An incorrectly entered number can be replaced as long as the number has not already
been followed by a "function key ." Pressing the clear entry key will clear the latest
ent ry while retaining all previous entries.
