UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS ON OTHER SIDE
THIEL CS3.5 REPACKING INSTRUCTIONS
lf it is necessary to repack the speakers, it must be done properly to avoid damage during
shipping.
1. Unmount trim strip on front of speaker. Remove grille frame by pulling its bottom away
from the cabinet about a haltinch and then lifting it upward (reverse order of the installation
illustrated on the other side). Reinstalltrim strip.
2. Tape orange tweeter protector cap over tweeter and cover speaker with plastic bag if
available.
3. Place empty carton over speaker and insert the two long cardboard corners at back of
speaker. Lay speaker (in carton) on its back.
4. Mount grille to large plywood piece by inserting grille bottom edge into slot in foam and
grille plastic fasteners into holes near top. Insert plywood (with grille mounted), with narrow
side of grille first, from top of carton. lt is helpfulto have a second person who can guide this
piece from the bottom of speaker over the trim strip and into proper position with foam against
speaker front.
5. lnstall bottom plywood and cardboard pad assembly into bottom of carton so that the
cardboard blocks run side to side. Close all four carton flaps and tape or staple securely.
6. Stand speaker upright and
installthe top plywood and
foam pad assembly making
sure that speaker is held
toward back of carton by lip on
the foam and that the front
plywood piece is outside of
foam lip on bottom of top
plywood piece. lsn't this

7. Close all four top cardboard
flaps and tape or staple
securely.
