Operating Tips

Inspect the area where you will use the machine
and remove all objects such as large rocks, trash,
and branches before tilling to prevent equipment
damage.
Do not place excessive body weight on the
machine. Use the weight of the machine to till the
soil more efficiently.
When tilling, begin with a shallow cut on the first
pass and then increase the depth by 2.5 to 5.1 cm
(1 to 2 inches) on each successful path until you
reach the desired depth.
Plant garden rows 51 to 56 cm (20 to 22 inches)
apart to allow ease of turning at the end of each
row.
When not tilling, move the throttle lever between
half throttle and the S
life, conserve fuel, and reduce sound levels.
