The battery is located in the battery
compartment behind the left side cover.
Removal
1. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF.
2. Remove the left side cover (page 53).

(2) negative (–) terminal
(3) positive (+) terminal

3. Remove the battery holder bolt (1).
4. Disconnect the negative (–) terminal (2) from
the battery.
5. Disconnect the positive (+) terminal (3) from
the battery.
6. Raise the battery holder (4), then remove the
battery (5) taking care not to drop the
terminal nuts.
