Tips for using the battery pack
Notes on the rechargeable
battery pack
Caution
Never leave the battery pack in temperatures
above 60°C (140°F), such as in a car parked in the
sun or under direct sunlight.
The battery pack heats up
During charging or recording, the battery pack
heats up. This is caused by energy that has been
generated and a chemical change that has
occurred inside the battery pack. This is not
cause for concern, and is normal.
Battery pack care
• Remove the battery pack from the
camcorder after using it, and keep it in a cool
place. When the battery pack is installed to the
camcorder, a small amount of current flows to
the camcorder even if the POWER switch is set
to OFF. This shortens battery life.
• The battery pack is always discharging even
when it is not in use after charging. Therefore,
you should charge the battery pack right
before using the camcorder.
Be sure to observe the following
• Keep the battery pack away from fire.
• Keep the battery pack dry.
• Do not open nor try to disassemble the battery
pack.
• Do not expose the battery pack to any
mechanical shock.
The life of the battery pack
If the battery indicator flashes rapidly just after
turning on the camcorder with a fully charged
battery pack, the battery pack should be replaced
with a new fully charged one.
Charging temperature
You should charge batteries at temperatures
from 10°C to 30°C (from 50°F to 86°F). Lower
temperatures require a longer charging time.

Ne laissez jamais la batterie à des températures
supérieures à 60°C (140°F) comme en plein soleil
ou dans une voiture garée au soleil.
La batterie chauffe
Pendant la charge ou la prise de vue, la batterie
chauffe. Ce phénomène est dû à l'énergie générée
et aux réactions chimiques qui se produisent
dans la batterie. Il n'y a pas lieu de s'alarmer.
Précautions d'utilisation de la
batterie
• Retirez la batterie du camescope après
utilisation et gardez-la dans un endroit frais.
Lorsque la batterie est installée sur le
camescope, un courant de faible intensité passe
dans le camescope même si le commutateur
POWER est réglé sur OFF, ce qui réduit
l'autonomie de la batterie.
• La batterie se décharge constamment, même si
elle n'est pas utilisée après la charge. C'est
pourquoi il est préférable de charger la batterie
juste avant d'utiliser le camescope.
Respectez les points suivants
• N'approchez pas la batterie du feu.
• Ne mouillez pas la batterie rechargeable.
• N'ouvrez pas et n'essayez pas de démonter la
batterie rechargeable.
• N'exposez pas la batterie rechargeable à des
chocs mécaniques.
Longévité de la batterie
Si l'indicateur de batterie clignote rapidement
juste après la mise sous tension du camescope
avec une batterie complètement chargée,
remplacez la batterie par une neuve
complètement chargée.
Température de charge
Il est conseillé de charger les batteries à une
température comprise entre 10°C à 30°C (50°F à
86°F). Des températures inférieures allongent le
temps de charge.
