Plug
Cleansparkplug and reset theelectrodegap to 0.030"at least oncea
season;replaceevery 100hoursof operation.

Cleanareaaroundthe spark plug base.Do notsandblastspark
plug.Sparkplug shouldbe cleanedbyscrapingor wire brushing
and washingwith a commercialsolvent.

Removeand inspectthe spark plug.Checkgap to makesureit is

Loosenscrewsthat hold the air filter cover.
2.
Opencover and removecartridge.See Figure12.
3.
Removepre-cleanerfrom thecartridge.Discardold cartridge.
4.
Installnewcartridge.Installlip on pre-cleanerat the bottomof
cartridgepleats.
5.
Closethe coverand tightenscrews.
NOTE:If thefilter istorn or damagedin anyway,replaceit.

Stopengineand wait severalminutesbeforecheckingoil level.
With engineon levelground,the oil mustbe to FULL markon
dipstick.
2.
Removeoil fill dipstickand wipecleanwith cloth.
3.
Replaceand tightendipstick.Removeand checkoil level. Level
shouldbe at FULLmark.
4.
If needed,add oil slowly- recheck.Do notoverfill.
5.
Wipe dipstickclean, replaceand tighten.Removeand checkoil
level.Oil levelshouldbe at FULL line on dipstick.
Donot overfil.Overfillingwith oil may causethe engineto not start,
or hard starting.If over the FULLmarkon the dipstick,drain oil to
reduceoil levelto FULLmark on dipstick.
