First read and observe the introductory information and safety warn-
ings
on page 113.
Removing
›
Open the boot lid.
›
Open the screw cover in direction of arrow
›
Hold the tail light assembly with one hand, and remove the plastic nut
the other.
›
Hold the tail light assembly and carefully remove by moving side to side.
›
Slightly pull out the lock
on the connector.

Press the catch
and pull out the connector.

Install
›
Insert the connector into the lamp and lock it securely.
›
Insert the rear light assembly into the opening in the bodywork and push it gen-
tly so that it clicks onto the pins on the edges of the opening.
›
Screw the tail light assembly tight and replace the screw cover.
CAUTION
Ensure that the cable bundle is not pinched between the bodywork and the
■
light as it is refitted – there is a risk of damage to the electric installation and wa-
ter ingress.
If you are not sure whether the cable bundle has been pinched, we recommend
■
that you have the connection of the light checked by a specialist garage.

Replacing bulbs in tail light
First read and observe the introductory information and safety warn-
ings
on page 113.

Carefully release the lamp holder with the locking tabs marked with ar-
rows
» fig. 95
on page 116 - and remove it from the tail light.
›
Remove the defective bulb
›
Turn the defective bulb
as far as it will go in a counterclockwise direction

and remove from the holder.
›
Install a new bulb
into the holder and turn as far as it will go in a clockwise
B
direction.
›
Carefully re-insert the bulb holder into the tail light assembly.
