To start:
„ To begin digging, press and hold the forward button on

OVERCURRENT PROTECTION
When the tool is forced or overloaded, the Li-ion battery
pack will automatically shut off the tool.
„ When the product stops, release the button, and lift it
from the hole.
„ You may need to find an alternate place to dig if a large
obstruction has caused the machine to stop.
USING THE HANDHELD AUGER
See Figures 5-7.
WARNING!
Maintain a firm grip on the handles with both hands while
using the auger. Keep the auger bit away from your body
and below waist level.
NOTE: Do not touch the auger bit when the product is
turned on.

battery pack from the product before inspecting, clean-
ing, or performing any maintenance.

Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes resulting in possible
serious injury.
OPERATION
„ Make sure your knees are firmly planted above the work
surface. Stand with hips locked. The curve of the handle
should be held close to the user's body below waist level.

„ As the hole begins to fill with debris, it is important to
constantly clear it to produce a clean cut and reduce the
amount of effort required.
„ While the handheld auger is operating at full speed,
slowly lift it from the hole and allow the debris to clear
from the unit.
