Charging via Computer
The batteries also charge if the camera is connected to a computer. Turn the
camera off , insert the batteries, and connect a USB cable.
Battery status is shown by indicator lamp 2.

Connect the camera directly to the computer; do not use a USB hub
or keyboard.

Charging stops if the computer enters sleep mode. To resume
charging, activate the computer and disconnect and reconnect the
USB cable.

Charging may not be supported depending on the model of com-
puter, computer settings, and the computer's current state.
•
The battery takes about 400 minutes to charge with a charging input
of 5 V/500 mA.

If the camera is turned on during charging,
charging will end and the USB connection
will instead be used to power the camera.
The battery level will begin to gradually
decline.
•
The camera will display a "power supply" icon when powered via USB.
