Connecting Your Device

Workstation
Ensure the FortiWiFi unit is placed on a stable surface prior to initial
configuration and installation.
Caution: To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger (e.g., 24
AWG) UL Listed or CSA Certified Telecommunication Line Cord
Caution: Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage your Fortinet
equipment.
Caution: Do not place heavy objects on the unit.
Connect Devices
1. Connect a telephone cable to the ADSL port.
2. Connect the other end of the telephone cable to your network or
ADSL Internet connection.
3. Connect an Ethernet cable to each computer you wish to connect
to the FortiWiFi unit.
4. Connect the power adapter to the FortiWiFi unit and plug the other
end of the cable into an electrical outlet.
