Getting to Know Your System
Sound Modes and Profiles
Harman Kardon Sound Modes
Each sound mode provides a unique listening experience by changing the volumes of
various speakers throughout the room.
1. Movie: All speakers full volume
Center Channel
2. Music: Center Channel volume reduced
Center Channel
3. TV: Couch speakers volume reduced
Center Channel
4. News: Couch speakers o , Subwoofer volume reduced
Center Channel
Custom Sound Profiles (In App only)
Use the app to create and save up to 5 custom sound profiles. Set your preferred input and choose the Harman Kardon sound mode
that has the desired signal processing (as described above). You can then customize center volume, bass, treble, and speaker balance.
Quiet Couch
This audio filter can be temporarily added to any active sound mode or profile. The couch speakers volume and loud audio
peaks are reduced.
Center Channel
Movie mode with Quiet Couch enabled
5.1 Surround content plays through
intended speakers.
Stereo content is passed through Dolby
ProLogic II to create a simulated 5.1
surround experience.
5.1 Surround content plays through
intended speakers.
Stereo content plays through the couch in
stereo and mixed to the Center Channel.
