6. Once installation is complete, tap Start →
Programs, and then tap the programme icon
to open it.
Adding a programme to the Start
menu
Once you have installed new programmes on
your phone, you can add any of them to the
Start menu so that you can quickly open them
from the Today screen. You can register up to 7
programmes in the Start menu.
1. From the Start menu, tap Settings →
Personal tab → Menus.
2. Tap the check box for the programme you want
to add.
If you do not see the programme listed, you
can either use the File Explorer application on
your phone to move the programme to the
Start Menu folder, or use ActiveSync on the
computer to create a shortcut to the
programme and place the shortcut in the Start
Menu folder.

Removing programmes
1. From the Start menu, tap Settings → System
tab → Remove Programs.
2. Select the programme you want to delete, and
then tap Remove.
3. When a confirmation message appears, tap
Yes.
The programme will be removed from your
phone.

If the programme does not appear on the list of
installed programmes, locate it from the
Programs screen, tap and hold the icon, and
then tap Delete on the pop-up menu.
You can also remove all programmes and data
stored in RAM with a hard reset. For details, see
page 39.
