Removing the battery
1. If necessary, switch off the phone by holding down
the
key until the power-off image displays.
2. Pull and hold the catch above the battery towards
the top of the phone and lift the battery away.
Charging the Battery
A travel adapter comes with your phone for charging
the battery. Use only approved batteries and chargers.
Ask your local Samsung dealer for further details.
The travel adapter allows you to use the phone while
the battery is charging, but this causes the phone to
charge more slowly.
Note: You must fully charge the battery before using
your phone for the first time. A discharged
battery is fully recharged in approximately 4
hours.

To charge the battery:
1. With the battery in position on the phone, plug the
connector of the travel adapter into the jack at the
bottom of the phone.
2. Plug the adapter into a standard AC wall outlet.
When the power is connected properly, the service
light turns on and remains red. Also, the Battery
Status icon blinks during the battery is charging.
3. The color of the service light indicates the status of
the battery being charged.
• Red: the battery is charging.
• Green: the battery is fully charged.
• Yellow: the battery is not correctly plugged in or
operating at a too low or too high temperature.
