Chapter 7. Function keys
The following table describes the functions of function keys.

Cuts off or turns on the volume.

Decreases the volume level.
F3
Increases the volume level.
F4
Closes the currently active window.
F5
Refreshes the desktop or the currently active window.
F6
Enables or disables the touch pad and touch pad buttons.

Views the open applications.
F9
Turns the LCD backlight on or off.
F10
Selects the active display device. Use this function key combination to select the LCD of the
computer, a connected external device, or both, as the active display device.
Note: You also can use the Windows+P combination to get the same function.
F11
Darkens the display.
F12
Brightens the display.

For Windows 7: Changes the wireless settings.
For Windows 10: Enables or disables the airplane mode. When airplane mode is enabled, all
wireless communication from and to this computer is unavailable (Windows 10).
