Electrostatic charge
Risk of explosion in hazardous areas if electrostatic charges develop, for example, when
cleaning plastic surfaces with a dry cloth.
• Prevent electrostatic charging in hazardous areas.
WARNING – EXPLOSION HAZARD:
DO NOT CONNECT OR DISCONNECT EQUIPMENT WHEN A FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE
ATMOSPHERE IS PRESENT.
Incorrect selection of type of protection
Risk of explosion in areas subject to explosion hazard.
This device is approved for several types of protection.
1. Decide in favor of one type of protection.
2. Connect the device in accordance with the selected type of protection.
3. In order to avoid incorrect use at a later point, make the types of protection that are not used
As shown in the example, select the appropriate checkbox for the type of protection indicated
on the nameplate.
Once you have chosen a type of protection, it is not permitted to change the type of protection.
