Condenser Coil Cleaning

The appliance owner is responsible

Required Tools
Required tools include (but may not be limited to) the following:
• Gloves
• Eye Protection
• Phillips Screwdriver or Bit Driver
• 1/4" Hex Head Driver
• Stiff Bristle Brush
• Vacuum Cleaner
• Drill (optional)
Procedure
1. Unplug the unit or turn off the power supply.
2. Remove the rear grill. See figs. 1 and 2.
3. With a stiff-bristled brush, carefully clean accumulated dirt
from the front condenser coil fins. See fig. 3.
4. With dirt removed from the surface of the coil, use a flashlight
to verify you can see clearly through the coil. See fig. 4.
5. Carefully vacuum any dirt around and behind the condensing
unit area.
6. Reinstall the rear grill.
7. Restore power and verify operation.
