Quick Guide to Your TV
Startup
The following steps will get your TV connected and ready for watching.
Hook up any antennas, cables or other equipment to your TV before you follow the steps below.

. Hook up your TV
Choose one of the following connections and hookup your TV and any components. These are basic
connections for typical equipment. Your system components may vary. See the individual components' user
manuals for specific connection information.
TV Only
Connect the TV as shown.
To use this connection you must have:
(1) coaxial cable.
This connection provides:
• stereo sound from programming broadcast in stereo.

TV and Stereo VCR

Connect the TV and VCR as shown.
To use this connection you must have:
(2) coaxial cables.
(3) audio/video cables
This connection provides:
• stereo sound from programming broadcast in stereo
• stereo sound from VCR
• viewing one channel on TV while recording another channel.
Note: When using a cable box to receive programming, only
the selected channel is distributed through the system. For
example, when using only a cable box to receive
programming, you can not record one program and view
another.
TV, Stereo VCR and Satellite Receiver
Connect the TV, VCR and Satellite Receiver as shown.
To use this connection you must have:
(4) coaxial cables.
(6) audio/video cables
This connection provides:
• stereo sound from programming broadcast in stereo
• stereo sound from VCR
• stereo sound from Satellite Receiver
• viewing one channel on TV while recording another channel.
Note: When using a cable box to receive programming, only
the selected channel is distributed through the system. For
example, when using only a cable box to receive
programming, you can not record one program and view
another.
