Sewing corners

Outside corners

Cut off to about 2 cm from the stitch line before and after the corner.
Sew one stitch beyond point A and stop.
Raise the needle and presser foot.
Pull the fabric straight back hard enough for the thread on the stitch
finger to release.
Note: the presser foot was omitted from the drawing for a better view
of the details.
Turn the fabric and lower the presser foot so the knife is in line with the
cutting edge.
Pull the loose threads up and sew.

Inserting pins

Insert pins to the left of the presser foot.
This ensures the pins are not within the
cutting area of the blade and are later
easy to remove.
CAUTION! Sewing over the pins will
result in partly irreparable damage to
the knife blades.

Securing the thread chain

Thread the thread chain into a hand needle with a large eye (e.g.
embroidery needle).
Insert the needle into the end of the seam to secure.
Note: for more information on securing a rolled hem please refer to
„Securing the rolled hem thread chain".

Reinforced seam

Sewing in hem tape whilst overlocking will make the seam more durable.
Guide the tape through the slit at the front of the presser foot.
Place the tape under the foot toward the back and sew the seam.
The tape will be attached with the seam.

Sewing edging

Bring the upper knife to the rest position.
Feed wool yarn or tape through the slit at the front of the presser foot.
Place the tape or wool yarn under the presser foot and chain off the
desired length.
Chained off edging can be used individually or braided in multiples.
