Consumers' optional rights

In cases where it is understood that the Goods are
defective, the Consumer may exercise one of their
optional rights to in Article 11 of the Law on the
Protection of the Consumer No 6502:
a — Notify their intention to return the Goods and
renounce the agreement,
b — Retain the Goods and ask for a discount in
sale sum in proportion to the defect,
c — Require cost free repair of the Goods at the
sole cost of the Seller in cases where this would
not require excessive costs,
ç — Require replacement of the Goods with
identicalnewGoods if possible.
The Seller is obligated to meet the requirement
preferred by the Consumer.
The seller is obliged to repair the products or have
it repaired without charging any workmanship
fees, spare part replacement fees or any such
costs whatsoever.
The consumer may claim his free repair right also
from the producer or importer. The seller, the
producer, and the importer are jointly liable with
regards to the performance of this right.
Other rights of the consumer
Provided that the consumer opts to exercise his
right of free repair, in the event that;
• The product breakdowns again within the
warranty period,
• The maximum repair period for the defected
product is exceeded,
• A report has been drawn by the authorized
service station, seller, producer or importer
that the repair is not possible, the producer
may request from the seller the refund of the
amount paid for the product, a discount on
the sale price proportional to the defect or, if
possible, the purchased goods to be exchanged
for non-defective goods. The seller cannot
reject the Consumer's request. The seller,
the producer, and the importer are jointly
liable with regard to the failure to fulfill such
request.

In the event that the Certificate of Guarantee is
not issued by the seller, the consumer may apply
to the Ministry of Customs and Trade, General
Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market
Surveillance.
Consumer, complaint in possible disputes
and their appeals can apply to the Consumer
Arbitration Committee or the Consumer Court
in the place of residence or where the consumer
transaction is made.
According to Article 18 of the Law No. 6502 on
the Protection of the Consumer, the consumer
can only use the withdrawal period of the goods
purchased in installments as a regular inspection.
The consumer will not be able to exercise respect
for withdrawal when purchased products are
exhausted on a regular inspection
