Appliance specifications
• CPU is an Intel Xeon E5-2690v3 processor.
• 8 x 16 GB PC4-17000 2133 MHz ECC Registered RAM modules
• 1U server with 8 front-accessible 2.5" drive bays
• Six 40-mm internal fans
• 2 hot-swappable 750 W PSUs in 1+1 configuration
• 2 Intel SSDC2BB120G4 OS drives
• Onboard IPMI
• 2 Onboard 1 Gbps network ports
• 1 Onboard 1 Gbps dedicated IPMI network port
Note: Extra Networking Option
The appliance can support another networking card to provide extra Ethernet ports. This port is found to
the right of center on the rear of the appliance, as shown in the following figure.

Type and Usage
Use only the power cords that are supplied with the appliance. Do not use
another type of cord. Do not use extension cords. If extra power cords are
needed, contact IBM Support.
Use high-quality Category 5e or 5 (CAT5e, CAT5) copper cables.
Use Intel based enhanced small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) transceivers only.
Both short reach (SFP+ SR) and long reach (SFP+ LR) optics are supported.
Optical fiber cable specifications depend on the SFP+ module used. For more
detail, refer to Intel documentation on Modules and Cables.
Any SFP+ passive or active direct attach copper cable compliant with the
SFF-8431 v4.1 and SFF-8472 v10.4 specifications is supported. For more
