Before you can record
TV
programs
on
your VCR
you
must disconnect all
TV
antennas from your
TV
and
re-
connect them to the VCR. To use your VCR and TV as a personal video system, your VCR must also
be
connected
to the
TV
at
the
VHF antenna terminals. For a
trial
recording, only VHF connections need
to be
made.
When
you
are
ready
for
regular operations, add UHF connection if desired (page
17).

cable service, use the connections on
the

VHF CONNECTION
There are two types
of
VHF
connections:
(A)
75 ohm round ("coaxial") cable with slip-on connector

1)
Remove
this
Round Cable ("Coaxial',)
from
the
back of your
TV.
2)
Attach cable end to
the
VHF lN
threaded
terminal on
the
back of the
VCR.
3)
Attach the VHF Connecting Cabte
(supptied)
to
the VHF OUT terminal of the
VCR.
4)
Attach the other end of the
cable
to the
VHF
Jack of the
TV.
(B) lf your
antenna
tead
is
a
flat
(300 ohm)
FIRST
cable:

to
lower (300O)
position.
1)
Remove
the
VHF antenna lead-in wires
from
the
antenna terminals on
the
back
of the
TV.
2)
Attach the
two
leads ("Twin Lead") onto
the
terminals
of the 300 ohm-75 ohm transformer
(supplied).

Plug the transformer into
the
VHF
lN
terminal of
the
VCR.
3)
Attach the VHF Connecting Cable
(supplied)
to
the VHF OUT terminal of
the
VCR.
4)
Attach the other end
of
the
cable
to the
VHF
antenna terminals of the
TV.
NOTE:

your
TV
has both types
of
VHF connection,
the
75 ohm connection
is
recommended
to
minimize
signal
loss.

When
the
unit
is
not
in
use
for
a
long time, be sure
to
turn off
the
POWER Button and pull out the
AC
Power Plug. Even when
the
POWER Button is otf, but
the
unit is
still
plugged in,
the
unit

electricity due
to the
CLOCK.
