How to visualise the firmware version of your European (*)
Pioneer DVR-7000 DVD-R/RW Recorder
1. Switch on your European Pioneer DVR-7000 DVD-R/RW Recorder. Enter "setup" by pushing the
button labelled "setup" on your DVR-7000 remote control unit.
2. By using the "joystick" of your DVR-7000 remote control unit change to "Initial Setup" and press
enter (by pushing the "joystick" on your DVR-7000 remote control unit).
3. Highlight the "Audio Out" tab on the left of the screen by using the "joystick" of your DVR-7000
remote control unit, next move to "Digital Out" in the central zone, and finally continue to the outer
right highlighting the "On" position (note: whether this setting is actually in "on" or "off" position is
not important for this purpose).
4. Now on your DVR-7000 remote control unit first press the "SHIFT" button, and then the "ANGLE"
button.
Extra information will now be displayed in the previously empty area below the "on/off" section of
the screen.
The last 3 digits of the first line of the newly displayed information contains the firmware version
information needed:
e.g.: " SYSCON : RELEASE_160 " would indicate that your Pioneer DVR-7000 DVD-R/RW Recorder
has firmware release version "1.60".

Attention:
this information applies only to the European versions of the DVR-7000; a
European DVR-7000 can by identified by the presence of 2 EuroSCART ("AV Connector") sockets
located at the rear of the unit.
