Reading/Writing Data

To read/write the data from/to the data cartridge, see the instruction manual provided with the backup
application.

Cleaning

To keep the drive is the best condition for securing the customer's data, cleaning is required.

Cleaning the Read/Write Head

When the cleaning notice is indicated ( Clean LED flashes ), clean the Internal LTO internal read/write head.
Set the cleaning cartridge into the Internal LTO based on the procedure which is described as "Set the Data
Cartridge" in the "HANDLING".
When the cleaning cartridge is set into the Internal LTO, the cleaning operation is automatically started.
After cleaning, the cleaning cartridge is automatically ejected.
Use our Cleaning cartridge to clean the Internal LTO. If you use a cleaner of the
other manufacturer, a machine failure may be caused. LTO Cleaning Cartridge can
be used for around 50 times
Perform the cleaning operation when the cleaning is required by the display.
If expired cartridge was used, the cleaning cartridge is ejected. Fault LED lights up.
Take the cartridge.

Cleaning the Internal LTO

If the Internal LTO looks dirty, gently wipe its surface with soft cloth moistened with water or detergent.
Do not clean the Internal LTO using chemicals such as benzene or thinner (volatile
chemicals), which may cause the Internal LTO to be deformed or discolored. For the
same reason, do not spray insecticide. If a chemical adheres to the Internal LTO
surface, immediately wipe it with soft cloth moistened with water.
