Installing the USB Driver and the Software (for
Windows)
This section describes the procedures for installing the USB driver
and the necessary software.
Installing the Image Processing Software (ACDSee for PENTAX) 1p.11
Installing the USB Driver (Windows 98/98SE only)
Two drivers (PENSSTOR.INF and PENSPDR.INF) must be installed
before using the USB cable to connect the camera to a computer
running Windows 98/98SE.
If you are using Windows 2000, Windows Me or Windows XP, you
do not need to install the USB driver. Go to "Installing the Image
Processing Software (ACDSee for PENTAX)" (1p.11)

Turn your PC on.

Insert the CD-ROM (S-SW24) into the CD-ROM drive.
The PENTAX Software Installer screen appears automatically, but no action
is required at this stage. Click the

Turn your camera off and place it on the USB cradle.

Connect the USB cradle to the PC with the USB cable.
The USB cable cannot be connected to the camera directly.

Turn your camera on.
Your PC will automatically detect the camera as new hardware and
the Wizard screen will appear.

(Close) button to exit the screen.
