    Powering On the Projector: 1. Remove the projector lens cap. 2. Complete the AC power cord and perpheral sgnal cable(s) connectons. 3. Press the button on the Projector Control Panel or the button on the Remote Control to turn on the power. 4. Turn on your source (computer, notebook, DVD, etc.). The projector automatcally detects your source. If the “Searchng for source” message appears on the screen, ensure that the approprate sgnal cable(s) are securely connected. If you are connectng multple sources to the projector smultaneously, press the Source button ether on the Projector Control Panel or the Remote Control. Warnng: Never look nto the lens when the lamp s on. Ths can damage your eyes. It s especally mportant that chldren are not allowed to look nto the lens. Powering Off the Projector: 1. Press the button on the Projector Control Panel or the button on the Remote Control. A message wll appear on the screen: 2.     Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Projector Height The projector s equpped wth an elevator foot to adjust the mage heght. To rase or lower the mage: 1. Turn the projector over and locate the elevator foot. Press the elevator button to extend the foot so t may be adjusted. 2. Whle holdng down the elevator button, adjust the foot to the desred heght, then release the button to lock the elevator foot nto poston. 3. Use tilt-adjustment foot to fine-tune tilt-adjustment. 4. Lower the projector so t rests on ts foot; adjust as needed.     Menu Options The projector has mult-language OSD (On-Screen Dsplay) menus that can only be dsplayed when an nput source s present. The menus can be accessed usng ether the Projector Control Panel or the Remote Control. The OSD (On-Screen Dsplay) menus allow you to make mage adjustments and change a varety of settngs. 1. Press the Menu button on the Projector Control Panel or the Menu button on the Remote Control. 2. Select the menu tab wth the / buttons ether on the Projector Control Panel or the Remote Control. 3. Select the desred menu opton tem wth the / buttons ether on the Projector Control Panel or the Remote Control. 4. Adjust the settngs wth the / buttons ether on the Projector Control Panel or the Remote Control. Refer to each menu opton secton for more detals. 5.     Color (Computer/Video Mode) Opton Actons/Descrptons Brghtness Adjusts the brghtness of the mage. Press the  button to darken the mage. Press the  button to lghten the mage. Contrast The contrast controls the degree of dfference between the lghtest and darkest parts of the pcture. Adjustng the contrast changes the amount of black and whte n the mage. Press the  button to decrease the contrast. Press the  button to ncrease the contrast. Color Temperature Adjusts the color temperature. At hgher temperature, the screen looks colder; at lower temperature, the screen looks warmer. Gamma Gamma affects how dark scenery s dsplayed. Wth a greater gamma value, dark scenery wll look brghter. Whte Segment The whte segment control adjusts the whte peakng level of the DMD chp. 0 stands for mnmal segment, and 10 stands for maxmum segment.     Press the  /  buttons to choose the mage poston showed on Poston top, center, or bottom. H. Poston Press the  button to move the mage left. (Horzontal Poston) Press the  button to move the mage rght. V. Poston Press the  button to move the mage down. (Vertcal Poston) Press the  button to move the mage up. Frequency “Frequency” changes the dsplay data frequency to match the frequency of your computer’s graphc card. If you experience a vertical flickering bar, use this function to make an adjustment.     Gently wpe the lens wth lens cleanng paper. Do not touch the lens wth your hands. Cleaning the Projector Housing Gently wpe wth a soft cloth. If drt and stans are not easly removed, use a soft cloth damped wth water, or water and neutral detergent, and wpe dry wth a soft, dry cloth. Turn off the projector and remove the AC power cord from the power outlet before begnnng mantenance work. Make sure the lens s cool before cleanng.     Otherwise it could cause a fire. Do not operate the lamp in an atmosphere containing an inflammable substance, such as thinner. Otherwise it could cause a fire or explosion. Thoroughly ventlate the area or the room when operatng the lamp n an oxygen atmosphere (n the ar). If ozone s nhaled, t could cause headaches, nausea, dzzness, etc. The norganc mercury s nvolved n the lamp. If the lamp bursts, the mercury nsde the lamp wll go out of the projector. Leave the area mmedately f the lamp shatters whle beng operated and ventlate the area for at least 30 mnutes n order to avod the nhalaton of mercury fumes.   • Page 34 Turn the projector over so you can access the lamp cover. 3. Remove the access panel screws and open the panel. 4. Remove the screws on the bottom of the lamp assembly. 5. Grasp the lamp handle and pull the lamp assembly drectly out of the projector. 6. Replace wth the new lamp. 7. Place back the screws on the bottom of lamp assembly. 8. Place the panel and screw back the screws on the lamp cover. Dspose of the used lamp accordng to local regulatons. Ensure that screws are tghtened properly. Screws not tghtened fully may result n njury or accdents. Snce the lamp s made of glass, do not drop the unt and do not scratch the glass. Do not reuse the old lamp. Ths could cause the lamp to explode. Be sure to turn off the projector and unplug the AC power cord before replacng the lamp. Do not use the projector wth the lamp cover removed.
