Finding the Controls
The control panel of the unit is divided into three parts: left, middle and right.
Left part:
This part contains the telephone keypad laid out in the conventional telephone arrangement with a "nib"
on the 5 button. Below the keypad are four circular buttons in a horizontal row: from left to right,
FLASH, REDIAL, MUTE and MONITOR. The REDIAL button is also the PAUSE button.
Middle part:
At the top middle part of the panel is a smooth surface. This is the display. On the lower left below of the
display is the CALLER IQ button. On the lower right below of the display is the RECEIVE MODE
button. Immediately below the display is the ONE-TOUCH LABEL CARD, which has three buttons each,
in vertical rows at both ends. On the lower right below the ONE-TOUCH LABEL CARD is the
NAVIGATOR control, which is a large cross key with four active areas. The active areas are the 12
o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. The 12 and 6 o'clock positions are PLUS and
MINUS keys respectively. These are also the VOLUME control increase and decrease. The 3 and 9
o'clock positions are the RIGHT and LEFT arrow keys. To the upper right of the NAVIGATOR control is
the MENU button.
Right part:
At the top are two circular buttons. The smaller on the left is the HELP button. The bigger on the right is
the CALLER ID button. Below the HELP button is a button marked with an indented page icon. This is
the COPY button. Below this is a button with a minus-shaped protrusion, marked with an indented
triangle. This is the STOP button. To the below right of the COPY button, there is another circular button
with a "nib", marked with an indented diamond. This is the FAX START button, which is also the SET
button.
