DBS Receiver Multi-Brand
Remote Control
The VCR's remote control can control functions on the brands

of DBS (Direct Broadcast satellite) receivers listed below.
TURN ON THE DBS RE-

Turn the power on using the DBS receiver's remote
control.

While holding down CABLE/DBS on the VCR's remote
control, use the NUMBER keys to enter the DBS receiver
brand number from the chart below and then press STOP.
Follow the example shown at bottom right.
● Once you have set the remote control to operate the

Press CABLE/DBS and POWER in succession to see if
the DBS receiver's power goes off as it should. If it
does, try other functions.

where some or all functions cannot be operated using the

● Though ECHOSTAR has a number of different remote codes,
this remote control is applicable only to one of those codes
preset at the factory.

box and your DBS receiver at the same time; you can only set
the remote control to the brand of either one.
● You have to subscribe to a satellite broadcaster to receive
DBS channels.
