Problem
Receiver too close to other
electrical devices.
Batteries are low.
Problem
Mouse is not connected
properly.
USB port is not working.
The optical sensor uses the
pattern of the surface to
track the position of the
cursor. Reflective surfaces,
grooved surfaced, glass, or
other see-through surfaces
will inhibit the ability of the
sensor to track the cursor.
Solution
Place the receiver at least 8
inches or 20 centimeters
away from other electrical
devices, such as the
computer, the computer
monitor, or external storage
devices.
If you are working on a
metallic surface, try turning
the receiver on its side.
Replace the batteries.
Solution
Try unplugging then
reconnecting the mouse
cable to your computer. The
mouse cable goes into the
computer's USB port.
Plug the mouse cable into a
different USB port on your
computer.
Place a mousepad or white
sheet of paper underneath
the mouse while in use.
