Changing t he audio
Some DVDs have multiple audio languages
you can choose from.
During playback, press AUDIO
repeatedly to select the desired audio
language.
The current audio language is displayed.
Example: an audio language display
AUDIO
When the display for the language code
appears, input the language code
corresponding to the desired language
(page 38).
Notes
• This unit displays t he f ollow ing languages:
ENGLISH, CHINESE, JAPANESE, GERM AN,
FRENCH, ITALIAN, SPANISH, PORTUGUESE,
DUTCH, DANISH, SWEDISH, FINNISH,
NORWEGIAN, and RUSSIAN. If anot her language
is used, " OTHERS" is displayed.
• You can sw it ch t he audio language only if
mult iple audio languages are recorded on t he
DVD.
• You can also change t he audio languages by
using t he DVD menu (page 21) or t he
LANGUAGE SETUP menu* (page 27).
* You can change t o a specif ic audio language
using t he LANGUAGE SETUP menu, only if t he
language is included in bot h t he disc and t he
menu. In some discs, t he init ial language t o be
out put is specif ied regardless of t he
LANGUAGE SETUP menu set t ing.
• This f unct ion varies or may not w ork, depending
on t he DVDs.

appear.

You can select the desired audio output from
"STEREO", "MONO LEFT", "MONO RIGHT"
or "MIX-MONO" during Video CD or Audio
CD playback.
AUDIO
During playback, press AUDIO to select the

desired output from "STEREO", "MONO
LEFT", "MONO RIGHT" or "MIX-MONO"
while the output is displayed.
Each time you press AUDIO, the output
switches.
