    Connecting Your Speakers—Continued Speaker Connection Precautions Read the following before connecting your speakers: • You can connect speakers with an impedance of between 8 and 16 ohms. If you use speakers with a lower impedance, and use the amplifier at high volume levels for a long period of time, the built-in amp pro- tection circuit may be activated.

Use a multichannel analog audio cable, or several normal audio cables, to connect the AV receiver’s DVD IN FRONT L/R, CENTER, SURROUND L/R, and SUBWOOFER jacks to the 5.1-channel analog audio output on your DVD player.

The center speaker outputs the sound as it is, while reverb is applied to the sound output by the other speakers, giving presence to even mono material.
